Ugly Betty

Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET

Start spreading the news! The fashion world's beloved and terminally style-challenged not "it" girl, Betty Suarez, is back and she's finally a junior editor! The award-winning series returns for a diva-licious fourth season on ABC Fridays this fall, once again shooting in New York City.

Last season Betty was at a precipice, her stellar work in the Young Editors Training Initiative had resulted in a promotion to Associate Editor – but with a catch, in that she finds herself working for her ex-boyfriend who is not at all happy with the way their relationship ended. With her new job, Betty realizes she must polish her look to reflect her new position, but she's still our beloved Ugly Betty at heart. Her status at Mode comes at a price — Daniel, whom she once assisted, is adrift without her as he grapples with the death of his beloved wife, Molly, and Marc St. James, Wilhelmina's loyal assistant, is out to undermine her at every turn, because he begrudges Betty her promotion, since he was in the running for it and feels he was more deserving. In addition, Betty's ex-boyfriend, Matt, is now her boss, since his dad is now Meade's major investor, and Matt can't seem to put the past behind him, wreaking havoc in Betty's professional life. Meanwhile, Claire Meade is finding that her power struggle at the company has her sitting pretty – for the moment -- opposite Wilhemina, who lost her claim to the Meade throne last season. Willie is more determined than ever to find Connor, who bankrupted the company, plus she's harboring a secret at home. And Mode's receptionist, Amanda, does some soul-searching about her future at the company. Back in Queens, Betty's nephew, Justin, struggles to fit in at school, while Hilda worries that her son is pulling away from her, and Ignacio counsels her that it's all part of parenting a teen.

"Ugly Betty" stars America Ferrera as Betty Suarez, Eric Mabius as Daniel Meade, Tony Plana as Ignacio, Ana Ortiz as Hilda, Judith Light as Claire Meade, Becki Newton as Amanda, Michael Urie as Marc, Mark Indelicato as Justin, Daniel Eric Gold as Matt Hartley and Vanessa Williams as Wilhelmina Slater.

Based on "Yo Soy Betty La Fea, " the groundbreaking Colombian telenovela that became an international phenomenon, "Ugly Betty" is from ABC Studios. The series has been awarded Emmy, Golden Globe, Peabody, NAACP, ALMA and Imagen awards and earned 19 Emmy nominations.

Executive producers are Silvio Horta ("Urban Legend"), Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award winner Salma Hayek, Jose Tamez, Richard Heus, Victor Nelli Jr., Jon Kinnally, Tracy Poust, Henry Alonso Myers and Sheila Lawrence. Co-executive producers are Chris Black, Gail Lerner and Abraham Higgenbotham.
