Rick Klein is ABC News’ Senior Political Reporter and author of ABC’s The Note, a daily political blog and tipsheet that appears on ABCNEWS.com. The New Yorker magazine called The Note  "the most influential morning tipsheet in Washington" and it will continue to be the best insider's guide to what is happening in politics and why. 

As Senior Political Reporter, Mr. Klein contributes political stories to all ABC News broadcasts and platforms, including analysis and political coverage on ABCNEWS.com throughout the day. In addition, Mr. Klein is a substitute co-anchor of “Politics Live,” a daily political program on ABC News Now, the network’s 24-hour digital outlet. He is also a regular contributor to the “World News Webcast” and the “This Week All Week” webcast with George Stephanopoulos. Mr. Klein provides regular political commentary for ABC News Radio and NewsOne, the network’s affiliate news service, and produces a twice-weekly video version of The Note.

Rick Klein joined ABC News in 2007 from The Boston Globe where he covered Congress and national politics. He joined the Globe in 2000. Prior to coming to Washington in 2004 to cover the Bush-Cheney campaign, Mr. Klein covered the Massachusetts State House and Boston City Hall. He previously worked as a metro reporter at The Dallas Morning News. A native of Long Island, N.Y., Mr. Klein graduated with a degree in politics from Princeton University, where he served as editor-in-chief of The Daily Princetonian. He lives on Capitol Hill with his wife, Laine.
