Alison Rou has been named vice president, Media Relations, it was announced today by Hope Hartman, vice president, Media Relations, ABC Entertainment, to whom she will report. In this role Ms. Rou will work closely with ABC Entertainment Current executives overseeing communications efforts for primetime scripted series, movies and specials. "Alison's determination to create bold and innovative show strategies and her passion for television make her a perfect fit for this key executive role," said Ms. Hartman. Previously Ms. Rou developed and executed publicity campaigns for "Commander In Chief," "Dancing with the Stars," "The 77th and 78th Annual Academy Awards," "The Bachelor/Bachelorette," "Extreme Makeover," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," "Boston Legal" and "Life with Bonnie," among others programs. Prior to that, she handled publicity campaigns with Alliance Atlantis Entertainment for "CSI," and numerous movies and miniseries, including "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows" with Judy Davis, and "When Billie Beat Bobby" with Holly Hunter. Additionally, Ms. Rou planned and coordinated logistics for numerous events, including the Emmys and the Golden Globes. Ms. Rou holds a bachelor degree in international affairs and political science from George Washington University.
