Shari Linker, an ABC Television Network sales executive specializing in integrated advertising, marketing and promotion programs that tap The Walt Disney Company’s various media properties, has been appointed vice president, Disney ABC Unlimited. Ms. Linker’s promotion, effective immediately, was announced today by Bill Bund, senior vice president, Integrated Sales, ABC Television Network, to whom she reports. Ms. Linker has served as executive director, Disney ABC Unlimited since June 2001. “Shari’s outstanding ability to develop innovative and high-value integrated sales programs has been instrumental to the growth of Disney ABC Unlimited,” Mr. Bund commented. “This promotion recognizes Shari’s consistent success in meeting diverse client needs with the far-reaching media resources available through The Walt Disney Company.” As vice president, Ms. Linker will continue to customize integrated programs for clients, in addition to her ongoing responsibilities in sales development and strategic planning for Disney ABC Unlimited. Prior to joining Disney ABC Unlimited, Ms. Linker had been Advertising director for online and print publications including Healthwell.com, The American and Episodes Magazine – the last then owned by Capital Cities/ABC, which later merged with The Walt Disney Company. She served as director, Business Development, Capital Cities/ABC, in the mid-1990s. Ms. Linker’s previous media sales experience also includes positions as vendor director, WALK Radio, in Patchogue, NY; Southeast account manager, American Baby and Healthy Kids magazines; and Travel Advertising manager, Savvy magazine. A graduate of North Carolina State University with BA degrees in marketing and economics, Ms. Linker resides in Sea Cliff, NY, with her husband and three children.
